Today has been closed in the CEIP "The Cañadica" the "Cultural Week of Painting" which has been developing since April.
The event was attended by the Mayor of Mazarron, Ginés Campillo, and the Councillor for Education, Culture and Tourism, Maria Celeste Soria.
This year the activities falling within these cultural events have been based on the realization of books, puzzles, stories and tales of several painters like Velazquez, Dali, Picasso, Miro, Van Gogh, Leonardo Da Vinci and Mazarron Domingo Valdivieso.
Other activities have been associated with the celebration of 440 anniversary of granting the privilege of Villa.
The students have developed small center books that have shaped the history of the town, its monuments and its symbols, the granting of the privilege or the Miracle of Mazarron.
It has also painted a large mural which has represented the Castillo de Los Velez.
The Mayor thanked the directors and the AMPA school "that the celebration of 440 anniversary has had a prominent place in your cultural week".
To the mayor "is important that our children know our history since childhood and I am pleased to see how we are promoting the identity Mazarron, not only from the City, but also from other social groups such as schools."
Today was a special day because the school hall has become a great museum where l @ s @ s alumn of all courses have exposed themselves tables prepared by the aforementioned artists.
In addition, the center has staged AMPA a play based on the painting "Las Meninas" by Velázquez.
For a few minutes, the place has become the Prado Museum where the protagonists of the famous Sevillian artist painting come to life itself.
Councillor of Education has received from the hands of l @ s @ s alumn one of the books made on the history of Mazarron and congratulated the center "for the great work they are developing educational."
Although the closure was today morning l @ s @ s alumn second and third cycle remain a meeting with the writer Pilar Lozano.
