Until June 30 you can enjoy in the exhibition space of Mazarron Town Hall shows a spectacular sculpture by Catalan artist Salvador Dali.
The exhibition was inaugurated on Friday by the Mayor of Mazarron, Ginés Campillo, and the Councillor for Culture, Tourism and Education, Maria Celeste Soria, who were accompanied by other members of the municipal corporation.
The exhibition, organized jointly by the Town Council of Mazarron and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, consists of 41 bronze sculptures of the great Catalan artist and of varying size.
Although most are pieces of small size, the building's entrance hall is dominated by a large work entitled "Gemini".
It was discovered by the mayor and the mayor Soria on Friday under the watchful gaze of dozens of neighbors who do not want to miss the historic moment.
The exhibition, framed within the celebration of 440 anniversary of granting the privilege of Villa, we can see up close some of the most famous icons of Dali and his soft watches or imaginary animals.
It is also remarkable the presence of religious works as a spectacular Piedad or San Sebastian, including mythological and bizarre sculptures.
Some of them belong to the collections of the Museum of Modern Art in Cartagena (MURAM) and were provided for the occasion by Cultural Murcia.
Among the works on display also highlights entitled "Naked woman climbing the ladder" in 1973, with which Dalí wanted to pay homage to Marcel Duchamp who professed great admiration.
The sample can be seen Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm, Thursdays and Fridays from 5 to 8 pm.
Its quality and importance to make possibly the best show ever walked the town hall of Mazarron.
The Mayor of Mazarron, Ginés Campillo, has encouraged residents and visitors not to miss "this unique exhibition, which is a before and an after in the cultural and social life of the municipality."
For the mayor, "we can feel extremely proud because there are many cities that can enjoy a show like this."
Meanwhile, Maria Celeste Soria, thanked the region "the availability has shown from the beginning towards realizing this project."
