On 18 May is celebrated as "International Museum Day" and, on the occasion of this celebration, the Town Council of Mazarron has prepared various activities to be carried out in the municipal museum and interpretive center of the municipality from 16 to 20 this month.
This has been made known to the Councillor for Culture, Tourism and Education, Maria Celeste Soria, and the mayor of Heritage, Maria Martinez.
During these days there will be free for residents and visitors to the Municipal Archaeological Museum "Roman Factory Salt" and centers of interpretation of "The Tower of Horses" and "Phoenician ship."
But not only carry out these open houses, but are also guided tours, school workshops, dramatized tours, educational activities, a concert, and even a tasting meats accompanied by white wine.
The scheduled events begin on Wednesday May 16th with open house and guided tours.
On Thursday October 17 and a half in the morning until 2 pm there will be workshops for schoolchildren in the garden of the "Casa Romana" was the street of Puerto de Mazarron.
Specifically, participants in the activity produce their own Roman amphora and the best work will be an mp3.
There will be other gifts for the participants as shirts, pens and DVDs.
The students also enjoy theatrical visits to the Archaeological Museum where the amphorae also exhibited by them so they can be referred by friends and family.
On Friday May 18 educational workshops are repeated in the "Casa Romana" and at night, starting at 21 hours, the "Roman Factory Salt" will host the "International Museum Day" with the tasting cured, provided by "James Salt," and white wine from the cellar "Cooperativa San Isidro DO Bullas" who have worked selflessly providing these products for the occasion.
The white wine, called "strains of Zorro" is made only from grapes of the Macabeo variety.
That night will be a concert Guitar by Juan Diaz Sanchez.
On Saturday 19 May 10 to 13 and from 17 to 20 hours will be open house at the "Salt Roman Factory" and centers for the Interpretation of "Phoenician Ship" and "Tower of Horses", with visits dramatized the museum to the public.
These theatrical visits to the museum will be held at 10, 11 and 12 hours of the morning, and at 17, 18 and 19 hours later.
Finally on Sunday, 20 these activities will be repeated but only in the mornings.
