This Friday July 13 the hamlet Mazarron de Leiva started its festivities in honor of the Virgen del Carmen.
Although the bulk of events is scheduled from that day until Monday 16, as a prelude to the celebrations has been prepared brisca contest to be held on 11 and July 12 at the door of the Social Hall.
Just this site will host one of the players acts of these parties, because these days you can see the exhibition "Memoriam. Our people in Lewis 2012."
This exhibition, which opens Friday 13 at 10 pm by the Mayor of Mazarron, Ginés Campillo, this is a photo exhibition marking ethnographic conceived by Juan Francisco Belmar.
It makes a journey of more than a century from sixteen portraits of various neighbors over 70 years of this parish.
Besides the portraits, the exhibition includes 130 pictures, some of the early last century, and devotes a special remembrance to John Segura, known as John 'Silensio' which in the fifties made his living touring the fields with your camera photos.
Friday night will also feature starting at 22:30 hours with the reading of the proclamation that this year will be borne by Francisco García Romero, an agricultural engineer in childhood and adolescence lived in Lewis.

On Monday 16 July, day of the patron, acts begin at 7 pm with Holy Mass in honor of the Virgen del Carmen to be held in the chapel of the hamlet.
To close the evening festivities will feature the artist's magic show "Magic Dexter" and the performance of Ricki "The Andalusian boy" and his dancers.
The festivities will end with a raffle to benefit parties also held on other days that make up the complete festive program this year.
