This morning the sports center of Mazarron has accepted delivery of the diplomas of the first swimming lessons this summer which involved 140 children aged 3 to 15 years.
In addition, about 60 people over 16 have attended the swimming course maintenance, so the number of course participants of the municipal swimming pool was around the 200 enrolled in its first phase.
The diplomas were presented by the Councillor for Sports, Andrew James, the Councillor for Rural Development, Magdalena Mendez, the mayor of Public Safety and Civil Protection, Miguel Maria Garcia, Council Member for the Environment and Citizenship, David Fernandez and Management of urban amenities, Juan Miguel Muñoz.
Following the presentation of diplomas children shared a lunch to close the course.
Starting next Monday begins the second year of swimming, which will also reflect a high level of participation by children in the municipality due to the great acceptance that these training activities have.
In fact, there are only a few places for the third year of swimming which starts on August 13.
Citizens can also enjoy the swimming pool between 15 and 18 hours for the price of 2 euros per day.
