Secretary of Social Policies PSRM-PSOE, Amparo Marzal, today called on the Minister for Social Policy to clarify the news about the possible closure of the residences of free time "Vacation Center Crag" of Mazarron and "Island Vacation Center flat. "
Amparo Marzal recalled that both are "an important holiday respite for disabled, mentally ill and elderly, who can enjoy there rest rooms, which are valued highly by users and their families and the professionals who serve them ".
Secretary of Social Policy PSRM explained that many people affected by the possible closure of these residences.
For example, the residence of Mazarron serves over 3,000 users throughout the year.
Therefore calls on the Ministry to ensure continuity and provide an explanation to this news, to reassure the thousands of users and families it affects.
For his part, Rep. Maria Carmen Moreno has tabled a question for written answer in the Regional Assembly in which is concerned with the future of both houses, while stressing that in no case the crisis can be an excuse for closure.
