The XXVIII edition of the story "Villa de Mazarron - Mowing Antonio del Olmo" closed last night with the traditional awards at a ceremony in which dozens of people gathered in the social life Mazarron and regional literary world.
The event was attended by the two winners of this year they collected their awards from Mayor of Mazarron, Ginés Campillo, and the Councillor for Culture, Education and Tourism, Maria Celeste Soria.
Also present were other authorities as the Deputy Mayor for Urban Development, Francisco Garcia, or well-known writers such as Laura Freixas, jury president this year, Soren Peñalver or Eloy Sanchez Rosillo.
Juan de Molina, a native of Cadiz town of Ubrique, received the first prize endowed with 3,600 euros more plaque.
In an amusing speech, Cadiz squandered sympathy and said he was happy to have been awarded this prize.
"A commitment to culture and literature is a display of courage in these times," said the winner, who explained that "I write stories because I am an undisciplined writer, I have no other discipline that I dare not with the novel" .
De Molina recounted some of the stories of everyday life that inspire you and how they influence the writing of their stories, starting the laughter of those present.
Hence the title of the winning work is "Things that happen."
To paraphrase Jorge Luis Borges said that "if a story can be told in 10 pages, why tell it in 300."
In turn, the second prize winner, Ulysses Villanueva, dedicated his award to his wife and son.
The Madrid of the town of Collado Villalba, who has done more plaque 2,400 euros, citing in turn to Zambrano saying that "writing is facing the solitude of self, and I think I've defended very well."
In a brief but profound speech, Villanueva expressed his excitement at being honored for his story "Nomad" and "we're all in this kind of nomadic journey to the limits of the age."
Both stories were given to attendees in a traditionally edited reprints to divide before the awards gala ended with a simple meal consisting of fresh, sparkling wine and cider is served on the terrace of the hotel "Playa Grande".
The Mayor of Mazarron, Ginés Campillo, recalled that "one year ago at this very place, I made a parallel between our municipality and a diamond in the rough that we had polished to show the splendor of Mazarron."

The director of the Universidad Popular de Mazarron (UPM), Jose Maria Lopez, invited the audience to enjoy reading the stories of winners this year and share "this special night in which stories about agglutinates all."
Lopez jumped at the chance to praise this literary genre which he said "one of the grandeur of the tale is its brevity," adding that to write a story "is like riding a bicycle. If the road speed is very easy But if you fall you lose. "
For his part, Councillor for Culture, Education and Tourism, Maria Celeste Soria, welcomed the presence of the attendees and emphasized the altruistic work of the jury this year was made up of Laura Freixas, Isabelle Garcia Molina, Soren Peñalver, Rafael Garcia Castillo, Francisco Nicolas Alacid and Jose Maria Lopez.
