The image of San Cayetano, patron of The Corners, arrived yesterday in this beautiful hamlet after the procession started from the Sanctuary of La Purisima de Mazarron.
The procession began its journey once finished the Mass in that church officiated the parish priest of San Antonio de Padua and San Andres, Julio Romero, and attended by the Mayor of Mazarron, Ginés Campillo, Maria Martinez and Council Members , Magdalena Mendez, Carlos Garcia and Andres Valera.
A number of neighbors were taking turns to carry the image of the saint during the tour which also involved two horses and carriages, once again, proved very attractive.
The bulk of the holiday begins today Friday 3 when, at 10 pm, the young Francisco Sáez Blaya, better known as "Titino", make the opening speech of this year to be held at the fairgrounds which hosts Mazarron festive program activities.
Following this will be held the coronation of the queens of festivals and performing on "Sabor Latino Duo."
During the evening there will be a raffle of gifts.
Tomorrow, Saturday August 4 continue the proceedings.
On this day, also starting at 10 pm, it will be the turn of Ricky "The Andalusian Chico" which will be accompanied by her dancers.
The music, seasoned with good humor, will continue in the hands of artist Frank Cano.
That night, plus a large piñata with gifts, will be also a contest of crumbs for the Festival Committee will provide the meal and oil.
On Sunday August 5 will end the festivities this year with a contest at the scrum pitch scheduled for 9 pm.
An hour later there will be the performance of all Mazarron "The Luisos" which continue to reap great success thanks to the quality of their concerts.
A great pinata with gifts will put an end to the festivities of this year's Corners to which they are invited to enjoy all the citizens of Mazarron and tourists spending their holidays here.
