The project is part of the action program of the Department and aims to improve and beautify the waterfront of the Region
The Autonomous Region today presented the recently improved Francis boardwalks Rihuete Martinez Muñoz and the City of Mazarron, during a ceremony held this afternoon in the same town.
Improvement projects undertaken by the Ministry of Public Works and Planning have been made to facilitate access to the waterfront, provide greater functionality to the rides and expand the range of possible uses.
The Minister of Public Works and Planning, Antonio Seville, which became effective on delivery record of said spaces, said "it has given the area an aesthetic unit and has graced the coastline of the municipality."
"The works, with a budget of over 2.2 million, include a bicycle path, the shift in plant restricted access road, creation of new gardens and recreational areas and the reorganization of traffic," explained the counselor.
In addition, the Ministry of Public Works and Planning renewed the urban elements in the set of the two sections of the ride and Rihuete Avenue, such as paving, landscaping, lighting and street furniture.
From the port to the promenade of the paved surface Rihuete exceeds 33,000 square meters and has a length of 1,190 meters.
The bike has a length of 1,186 meters, the pedestrian area exceeds 22,000 square meters and the garden areas reach 1,170 meters square.
The play area has 336 square meters, while the sporting circuit and rehabilitation, 132 and 166 square meters respectively.
Parking spaces obtained by the improvement of these trips are 195, of which 6 are adapted.
Visit the fishing port
Prior to the ceremony of the minutes of these spaces, the Minister of Public Works and Planning, Antonio Sevilla, visited the fishing port with local authorities and accompanied by the Director General of Transport and Ports, Antonio Sanchez-Solis, and larger pattern of the Brotherhood of Mazarron, Juan Ballesta.
After the visit, the Minister witnessed the fish auction.
