The Department of Sports City of Mazarron is still committed to diversifying the implementation of all activities in the municipality to celebrate the 440 anniversary of granting the privilege of Villa and, in this line, is scheduled for Saturday 18 August the First National Dog Contest to be held from 18:30 in the square of the Autonomous Regions of the promenade of Puerto de Mazarron.

The championship is organized by the Canine Society of Murcia and it works, besides the Guildhall, the Royal Canine Society of Spain.

The Councillor for Sports, Andrew James, explained that "we have opted for this initiative because we believe it can be an added attraction for tourism in our town and to perpetuate it in time."

The contest, scoring for the championship of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, will "to breed dog shows in 10 different categories such as grazing, company, or working hounds, among others," as explained by the president of the Society Dog Murcia, Alfonso Castells.

4 judges of national category will be required to test the canine specimens, making a selection that will result in choosing a puppy absolute best, a young specimen better and better all adult all.

There are already enrolled more than fifty copies and the deadline to participate is still open on the web www.caninamurcia.es.

They may also register those who wish to compete until one hour before the start of the championship in the same town in the Autonomous Communities.

Castells Alfonso thanked the support of the City of Mazarron to carry out this initiative "with which we reach a large number of people, thanks to the concentration of tourists that are produced these days of summer and that otherwise we would be very difficult for us to know. "

Both James and Castells have encouraged residents who love animals to go to the competition "because they can enjoy a nice show, novel because it had been before in the town and where you can see purebred dogs worthy of admiration."
