The square of the regions of Puerto de Mazarron Saturday I hosted the National Dog Contest held in the municipality and in which more than 150 specimens of diverse dog breeds.
The competition, which was a success, was followed by hundreds of people who enjoyed a unique and special interest to animal lovers.
The competition was attended by the Councillor for Sports, Andrew James, and the Selectmen Maria Martinez, Magdalena Mendez and David Fernandez.

In this regard it is noteworthy that all of the competition podium was composed of the Afghan hound named "Golddrango in absolute world" in first place, followed by the short-haired miniature dachshund "Pink Floyd da house two tables" in second position, and the bouvier of Flanders "DaSilva Katrina" in third.
All received trophies along with the top three of a total of 19 categories which were being the best examples.
The Councillor for Sports, Andrew James, has been very pleased with the contest.
"It was something new and special that we wanted to support for the first time for the celebration of our 440 years of history," said the mayor, who said that "our purpose is to keep motivating competitions of this kind in our town, as has been well received and people enjoyed enormously. "
The tournament also became a tourist attraction of which are scheduled this summer from the City.
