Today the City Council of Mazarrón, meeting in special session, unanimously approved the amendment of the articles of the Consortium for Fire Fighting and Rescue Region of Murcia.
As explained by the Councillor for Public Safety and Civil Protection, Miguel Maria Garcia, "this modification is to adjust the statutes of the Consortium to the changes that have occurred in the current legislation since the adoption in 92".
The approved proposal will now be forwarded to the Governing Council of the Autonomous Community and municipalities consortium.
In regard to this amendment, the Ministry of Presidency has defined a new organizational model in the operational structure of the Consortium for Fire Fighting and Rescue Region of Murcia which sets a series of reforms based on the "optimal use of human and material resources to gain efficiency in the management of services and to respond effectively to the needs of citizens. "
This was stated by Minister of the Presidency, Manuel Campos, after initialling the negotiating table with the Consortium agreement on 15 March.
The presidential adviser said that "the agreement introduces significant innovations that make it possible to optimize the organization of the group, focused mainly on strengthening the specialization by separating the technical and operational scale."
The new organization, said Campos, provides for the introduction of methodologies and management criteria updated and homogeneous in 14 fire stations and other places of work, ensuring adequate support for this service "more agile, efficient and quality. "
The Minister praised the "great effort" by all components of the Partnership in the signing of this agreement defining a "significant savings in tough economic times in which we find ourselves and demonstrates, once again, the commitment, the responsibility and caring public service of these great professionals. "
In this line, provides for the development of operational scale with NCO and officer corps, guards performing 24 hours by the chief sergeants Lorca parks and Molina de Segura, the voluntary assumption of service coordination between the sergeants and technical personnel, the reduction in pay for the extra services of the Consortium and the modernization of its own workshop dedicated to repairing vehicles and firefighting equipment.
These organizational measures will mean "increased operability" Consortium for Fire Fighting and Rescue Services and a "cost savings" to the Community, quantified over a million per year.
Also, the House also approved unanimously the correction of an error in a document on the specific amendment number 72 of the General Urban Plan (Plan).
The Deputy Mayor for Urban Development, Francisco García, explained that "due to an error in the transcription of a plan document that affects the part of the industrial zone of the pond, the correction of which has been requested by Mazalia SL.
