The Department of New Technologies has launched a new application from the website of the City of Mazarrón, www.mazarron.es, which implies increased presence on the web portal and a better positioning on search engines of the same network.
Specifically, the technicians in the area have implemented a system that allows Internet users to access the portal content without first going through the home of the web.
Councillor for New Technologies, Matilde Blázquez, explained that "so far, to go to any link or content of our website, had to go through the mandatory home as if it were accessed through a link appeared a notice in which warned that the content was not available ".
Thanks to the work done from the area of Computing "has solved this problem, at the time, left unresolved the company that implemented the portal".
The councilor stressed that "from now on the Internet and can copy the web link so you can directly access information or a section and also when performing queries in search engines and will not appear only the home of website unless all the sections that are related to that search. This will significantly increase the presence of Mazarrón in Red ".
The first consequence of this improvement "is, surely, an increase in the number of visits to our website and, by extension, a new development in the municipality tourism promotion and improvement in the transmission of information in a more direct way and agile. This is the first step in a series of improvements to be made in the portal "to make it a more useful tool, easy to use and high quality services for citizens," said Matilde Blázquez .
Despite these drawbacks, which now finally been given a final, www.mazarron.es has received an average of 754 hits a day and more than 22,600 visits per month in the first half.
Although most come from Spain, there are connections to 40 countries among which are the visits from the UK in a few months far exceed 1500.
