This past weekend the High Performance Center "Infanta Cristina" Los Narejos hosted the Regional Championship of Taekwondo in cadet category in which the Taekwondo Club Mazarrón again reap excellent results.

Specifically, three gold medals that were hung were members of this club Mazarron.

Ruben Garcia was champion of the mode of 45 kg featherweight Antonio Mendez did the same in 65kg heavyweight and Marina Moreno also climbed to the top of the podium in women's 55kg middleweight mode.

Both Ruben Garcia and Antonio Mendez revalidaban with wins gold for the third consecutive year and also stop both form Murcia regional selection to compete in Taekwondo Championship in Spain to be held in the town of Gandia (Valencia) and will take place on 27 and 28 October.

Also, another athlete has received this past Friday in Murcia recognition for his brilliant season.

Pablo Mendez, Mazarrón Athletics Club member, was awarded in the "Sports Gala XI ONCE" in recognition of his achievements in Spain Championship Athletics Winter by category for the blind and visually impaired played in San Javier (Murcia) on 18 and 19 February.

During the tournament, and in the youngest category, Mendez became champion in the long jump tests, 800 meter dash and 60-meter dash.

The Gala was held at the auditorium of the Provincial Delegation of ONCE in Murcia.
