The Specialty Care Center for Women Victims of Domestic Violence (CAVI) Mazarrón Town Hall is holding talks in various rural areas of the municipality to make known its operation and services offered from the same.
Yesterday it was the turn of Majada the hamlet where they were called to attend the neighbors from the fold, and Ganuelas Watchtower.
The talk was hosted by CAVI Mazarrón psychologist, Rosa Jorquera, and counsel for the Center, Carmen Mendez, and was attended by the Councillor for Equality and Social Policy, Maria Martinez, and Rural Development, Magdalena Mendez; and the village elder of Majada, Sergio Martinez.
During the course of the talk attendees, mostly women, offered their views on gender violence based on case studies and discussed about this problem.
During the meeting the representatives of CAVI explained that the main objective of the center is "to provide comprehensive care, free personalized to women who have been victims of domestic violence. Assistance which provides social, psychological and even legal."
They also explained that there are several types of physical violence as well as are psychological, sexual or economic, what the cycle of violence, the characteristics of the offender or how to know if you are at risk in this type of violence.
Councillor for Equality and Social Policy, Maria Martinez, during the talk he emphasized that "women can attend this service free of charge if they believe they are suffering an episode of domestic violence.'s Not necessary to have a prior claim to be contact the CAVI. The CAVI continue their journey through the districts in Cañada de Gallego, where the briefing will take place on Thursday November 15th from 20:30 pm in the Social Local Reading Center.
In the Social Hall of the appointment Leiva will be held on Wednesday, November 21 also from 20:30.
Throughout the first quarter of 2013 will continue this initiative in other districts, for which the CAVI apprise it.
Also, the November 25 marks the International Day against Violence against Women and, for this reason, various events will be developed by the City Council of Mazarrón.
As a preamble to, on Monday November 12 at the Center CAVI will be held, starting at 16:30 hours, a "Workshop ties of solidarity" which subsequently shared in the events planned during the week of the 25th .
