This afternoon was held the inauguration of the street Diego Celdrán Atiénzar "The Miller" against the sports hall "The Aceña" in Mazarrón.
The Mayor of Mazarrón and honoree himself, who was accompanied by family and friends during the ceremony, have been responsible for uncovering the plate that gives name to the street.
The event was attended by the Deputy Mayor for Urban Development, Francisco Garcia, and Queen of the Patron Saints Youth 2012, Ana Cristina Hernandez.
According to the mayor commented, "the City has chosen to dedicate this tribute to Diego Celdran for being a businessman who has promoted economic development in Mazarrón".
The honoree, 81-year-old thanked the consistory this gesture and provided by the Mayor, the Deputy Mayor for Planning and everyone once the act.
Diego Celdrán Atiénzar popularly known as "The Miller", was orphaned at an early age to become the head of the family of seven siblings, being the economic environment family situadad a grocery store in Convent Street.
In the 50s, he undertook various businesses although it is a very difficult time.
This initiative was the seeds of various commercial and industrial activities such as shops and supermarkets, sausage factory, slaughterhouse, farms, construction developer, etc.
All these activities have contributed to the enrichment and prestige of the town of Mazarrón and its people.
