The University of Murcia prepares the organization of an International Seminar of Studies on the borders of the Iberian and Mediterranean Worlds, to be held annually in the town of Mazarrón.
The proposal was studied in a meeting held in Convalescence, houses the Rectorate of the University, the rector, José Antonio Cobacho, and the mayor of the town, Ginés Campillo.
The meeting was also attended Gaetano Sabatini, University of Rome Three, and José Javier Ruiz, coordinator of the Network Columnaria, institutions will also collaborate in the organization of the seminar, which aims to develop international congresses, conferences, courses, publications and workshops.
The seminar aims to be a forum for reflection and stable academic analysis of modern and contemporary history of border areas, from a perspective that interests Mazarrón and the peoples of the Mediterranean.
