Mazarrón account today with a new ambulance through the work of the community of foreign residents of the municipality, headed by the association "Protection and Life Saving" (PALS) and other groups as "Lions International" and "COFFEE", has raised funds to purchase the new vehicle that has been donated to the City of Mazarrón which, in turn, make it available to "Red Cross Mazarrón".
The ceremony took place on the 26th of April and was chaired by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, who was accompanied by the Consul child care hours at the British Embassy, ​​Antonio Berdonces, President of "PALS" Ken Payne , and the president of "Mazarrón Red Cross", Carmen Navarro.

Foreign residents, mostly British nationals, "we have managed to raise 57536.23 euros needed to buy the ambulance and enable the medical equipment needed to make it available to all citizens of the municipality of Mazarrón" stated Ken Payne.
Of that total economic amount, 28982.95 euros correspond to the Volkswagen brand new ambulance, 25,000 euros to the transformation of the vehicle and 3553.28 euros to medical equipment that is available inside.
The president of "Mazarrón Red Cross", Carmen Navarro, has greatly appreciated the donation "will help us continue to provide the services we perform for all citizens, whatever their nationality, from which I chair."

Moreover, 3553.28 euros of medical equipment ambulance fall within a larger donation by the community for the purchase of medical equipment for the hospital Emergency Services and Civil Protection Mazarrón and three defibrillators external semi, along with three acquired by the Department of Sports City, will be enabled soon in six sports centers in the municipality.
This grant (including 3553.28 euros of medical equipment of the ambulance) amounts to a total of 11,281.16 euros.
