This Friday, May 24 at 19 pm will be the opening of the Cultural Center of Mazarrón, an infrastructure to historically and popularly called "House of Culture".
The opening shall be borne by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, and the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz.
Everything is now ready to implement this infrastructure whose construction began in the late 90s and, after suffering several delays and modifications have been completed thanks to the good management of the current government.
The inauguration, which are invited all citizens of Mazarrón, will begin with the unveiling of a plaque by the Mayor and the Minister who will be accompanied by the Councillor for Culture of the consistory Mazarron, Maria Celeste Soria.
Below is a view held by the different units of the property, which holds for some surprises, ending in the hall where they produce the different interventions of the authorities.
At the end of the speeches, authorities and citizens will address the central courtyard of the building where attendees will be given a book in memory of this day and that will offer a meal to be entertained by pianist David Gomez.
This show will be especially attractive for its spectacular staging and put a finishing touch to the opening.
David Gomez, a renowned pianist who has performed throughout the length and breadth of the world, will perform works by Bach, Mozart, Chopin, Lecuona, Piazzolla, Nyman and his own work with songs like "The Island", "The Train" , or "My Home".
The Centro Cultural de Mazarrón, which represents an investment of 3.6 million euros, is built on a plot of 2450 square meters and has a floor space of 2,627 square meters built, divided into basement (1056 m2), first floor ( 673 m2), second floor (875 m2) and cover (23 m2).
The property has a hall, exhibition hall, rehearsal hall, dressing room, a space of 530 square meters where hereafter be located the municipal public library "Gomez Jordana", cafeteria, offices, music room, several classrooms for to training and courses, toilets and storage rooms.
