The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz, accompanied by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, inaugurated today the new Cultural Center of the town, which will house the municipal public library 'Gómez Jordana', an exhibition hall and a conference room acts.
In addition, the building, which is defined with a multidisciplinary and multi-purpose to enhance and streamline the various cultural and artistic expressions in the town, also has agencies like rehearsal room, dressing room, cafeteria, offices, music room, several classrooms for training and courses, toilets and storage rooms.
In total, an appropriate facility to the major needs and concerns of the municipality citizens in this area.
This new infrastructure has been a major investment of 3.6 million euros, provided by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the City.
The space has been built on a large plot of 2450 square meters and has a floor space of 2,627 square meters, divided into basement, first floor, second floor and roof.
When property is transferred from the Municipal Library now 'Gomez Jordan', which is multiplied tenfold and space than previously available.
The library will feature a children's area and another prominent studies and for consulting archives and library collection.
Also, the cultural center will host the People's University of Mazarrón, staffed and a new and modern space where teaching courses, conferences, seminars and workshops.
