One year the Department of Sports City of Mazarrón has launched the 7 Memorial football tournament "Salvador Ortiz" in which the athlete honors Mazarron.

The sporting event was presented by the mayor Councillor for Sport, Andrew James, who was accompanied at the presentation by Miguel Ortiz, brother of Salvador.

Also present were the parents and the premium that thanked the consistory honored to continue conducting this tournament in honor of Salvador Ortiz.

Teams wishing to participate in the tournament, to be held on 1 and 2 June, have to have up to 12 components and must pay 250 euros for registration.

Interested parties have until Wednesday May 29 to formalize their participation, but may provide some data in the days before the tournament if registration is paid.

To do this you must go to the offices of the Department of Sports located in the sports hall "the Flour mill" de Mazarrón or calling 968 59 18 52.

The tournament will be held at the premises of the sports city "Media League" which also will be held the draw for the pairings at 20 am on Thursday, May 30.

Each team will play a minimum of three games to be mediated by federal officials.

The sports event provides important awards as the team champion will pocket 2000 euros in cash and a trophy, while the runner up will get 800 euros and a trophy.

There will be trophies for the tournament semifinalists for the best player, goalkeeper more thrashed and tournament top scorer.

Councillor for Sports, Andrew James, stressed that "this tournament in honor of Salvador Ortiz has established a regional level they are already several teams in the Region of Murcia who will come to play the tournament, as well as local sets also involved. Our goal is to continue consolidating the memorial with the participation of teams from outside our region. "

The honoree's brother, Miguel Ortiz, closed the presentation by giving "thank the City Council, the Department of Sports and all those who made possible this sporting event in memory of Salvador".
