The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, and the Councillor for Education, Maria Celeste Soria, have today welcomed participants to Mazarron project "Comenius" which, after traveling 8 countries for two years, ended this week in the municipality being CEIP "Infanta Leonor" the school responsible for organizing the latest activities of coexistence among participants.
A mazarrón have moved more than fifty pupils and teachers of the different countries involved in the project.
As explained by the director of the school, Antonio Gallego, "is a program of activities and exchanges involving not only teachers but also the students. For example, the Infanta Leonor schoolchildren have been in England and Belgium, where they met the culture of these countries and their traditions and lifestyle of students of the educational institutions involved. "
Gallego also thanked the City Council and the Department of Education for its support.
During the first year, the project "Comenius" traveled by Portugal, Italy, Greece and England, while during the second course has toured Poland, Belgium, Polynesia and finally Spain with a visit to Mazarron.
In short, it is an experience exchange program which continues tomorrow with a giant paella in that school and a "Talent Show" at the House of Culture, which will close on Saturday with a visit to the city of Cartagena and a boat trip around the Bay of Mazarron.
