Councilman Sports City of Mazarrón, Andrew James, has realized the call for application for grants for sports clubs and associations in the municipality.
This year, the budget allocated for this purpose increased by 18% compared to 2012, reaching 118,080 euros.
Andrew James explained that "applications may be submitted from the day following the official publication of the notice in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia (BORM) from which you will through the municipal website www.mazarron.es ".
Even so, the Department of Sports has delivered a letter to the clubs and associations "to start preparing the documentation and make the procedures, so that we can deliver them as soon as possible," stated Andrew James.
In addition, marked first evaluation criteria for the distribution of 10% of the municipal funds in which you consider if the clubs participating in regional or national stage if their athletes are called by an official selection or participate concentrations, if gifted athletes, or promotes the participation of women, or physically or mentally disabled people at risk of social exclusion in sport, among others.
These criteria represent 10% of the call (11,808 euros), while 70% of the total amount thereof (82,656 euros) will go to expenses federation.
Also, 8% of the game (9446.40 euros) will go to those clubs that maintain sports facilities, considering only cases in which the City does not participate in its maintenance.
Finally, 12% of it (14,169.60 euros) will be distributed among those clubs that perform federated competitions or not related to sports marketing and promotion of such activities.
The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, stressed that "in collaboration with clubs and sports associations in the municipality have advanced in the formula for the allocation of this budget in order to support and promote the sport at different levels in an equitable "stated the mayor who added that" hence that our strong commitment to sport in Mazarrón has materialized in an increase of 18,080 euros in the budget that we want, we can continue to grow if we keep the good economic management line we are doing in front of City Hall.
