Last Sunday was held in the lounge acts Mazarrón Cultural Center of the awards I Open International Underwater Photography 'Mazarrón Bay' in which the last weekend involving 11 couples composed of the best photographers related with this type of photography.
The closing ceremony was conducted by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, who was accompanied by Director General of Livestock and Fisheries of the Autonomous Community, Carmen Teodora Morales, President of the Federation of Underwater Activities in the Region of Murcia (FASRM ), Jesus Cano Belchí, Councilman Coastal Services, Miguel M ª García and Diving Center Manager of the Southeast "Bachisub" Alfonso Bachiller, whose center has organized the event along with the FASRM.
In regards to the prizes, the first prize of 6,000 euros for the best collection was placed in the hands of the couple composed by Arturo Telle Thiemann and Francisco Javier Ferrer.
The second prize of 3,000 euros, went to Fabian Alvarez and Izar.
The collection was done with the third prize 1,500 euros was presented by José Antonio García García and Francisco J.
Sanchez.
Prizes were also awarded four most gifted with 1,000 euros each for different typical pictures of a particular aspect.
So, the prize for 'Best Wildlife' was for Soriano Joaquin Guerrero and Francisco Domingo Restoy.
The award for 'Best Flat or Macro' went to the couple composed by Arthur Telle Thiemann and Francisco Javier Ferrer.
The award for 'Best Atmosphere' went to Jorge Gonzalo Candán Illan and Mucientes, while the 'Top Model' was Almudena López Angulo, who participated as a partner photographer Luis Garcia-Velarde Garcia.
In addition, a special award was given 1,500 euros for 'Best Representative Photo of Mazarrón Seabed' with which made García José Antonio García and Francisco J.
Sanchez.
FASRM President especially thanked the collaboration of the agencies that made the event possible as have been the City of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo your mayor to head the Autonomous Community, the Ad Hoc Underwater Civil Guard, the Diving Center The Navy, Maritime Authority of Mazarrón and Cartagena, besides Civil Guard, Red Cross and the Municipal Emergency Services of the municipality.
There were also words of thanks to the doctor this quote, Oscar Fontana.
The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, congratulated the winners and thanked the participants in this meeting, noting that "by the City Council for the first time and it was fine, it has become a firm and decided to put in value as they deserve Mazarrón seabed ".
The mayor said that "we will continue working in this direction in the future in close collaboration with the FASRM and center 'Bachisub', along with the other dive centers in the Bay, to continue this enhancement."
