The Municipal Center Senior Day Mazarrón opened Monday September 23, the deadline for registration for workshops program, once again, has a wide variety of activities that will take place between October and June this year , 2014.

The older can join gerontogimnasia classes, yoga, crafts, computers, reiki, photography, dance, Sevillanas, coral, Rondalla, tailoring, Esparto, buns and painting, among others.

Also repeated some workshops that help improve the quality of life of the elderly such as the 'Workshop of Memory', 'Workshop Experience', 'Self-Esteem Workshop', 'Breaking Workshop' and 'Reading Workshop' .

In addition, as a novelty, this year launches 'Care Unit Alzheimer's and Other Dementias' which will be financed entirely by the municipal coffers and availability of 15 seats.

The center also has a bar-café, hairdressing salon for men and women open every day except Tuesday and Sunday by appointment, podiatry service Wednesday afternoon by appointment, press and library every day in center hours (Monday to Friday from 09-21 pm and weekends and holidays from 10 to 22 hours), traditional games like dominoes, Parcheesi, anise, chess, checkers, mus, bocce and caliche, and family lottery and dance on Saturday, Sundays and holidays from 17 hours.

Also, this Friday September 27 Center Senior Day celebrates its V anniversary to be held, as usual, with various performances and a snack to be shared by those attending the birthday.

After 17 hours, will be the performance of the center coral and several members of the same tables that take fun theatrical, dance and skits, showing great humor and great art.

It will also be the day that the center tribute to 'Mayor of the Year 2013'.

A title this year went to Manuel Cisternes Garcia, who is actively working with the Center since its opening day, even giving some workshops such as painting and collaborating with others such as coral or Rondalla.

The celebration will be attended by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, the Councillor for Social Policy, Maria Martinez, and the center's director, Isabel Martinez.
