Yesterday afternoon was opened in Mazarrón Municipal Stadium, the 'Exhibition Hall and trophies Mazarrón FC'.
The inauguration was led by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, who was accompanied by the Councillor for Sports City of Mazarrón, Andrew James, and the president of that club, José Miguel Rodríguez.
In this room are shown the vast majority of the trophies made by the Mazarrón FC as well as photographs of the teams that have been part of its history.
Among those attending the opening, there were several players in the early 50s, after the opening of the hall, were honored for their contribution to football in Mazarrón.
Of the 10 honorees, 9 were those who could go to pick up a plate with recognizing their work and gave them the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, who thanked them for their contribution to the sport in the city.
The honorees were Thomas Rico Mendez, Martin Gomez Morales, Bartholomew Gomez Morales, Luis Sola Garcia, Antonio Ureña Rubio, Salvador Campillo Rubio, Antonio Munuera Acosta, Juan Pérez Martínez, Francisco Muñoz Muñoz and Pedro Jose Acosta Garcia.
Everyone could see, with their families and friends, pictures of the equipment in which militated, with trophies now exposed and even a T-shirt that showed off the first club players Mazarron.
The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, said after the inauguration that "it is always good to remember the history of our people and, thanks to the initiative of Mazarrón FC, you can learn the history of this club that is very long and full of sporting success. "
