This morning has started in the Centro Cultural de Mazarrón the course of 'Assistant Associate Health' organized by the departments of Rural Development and Social Policy is in collaboration with the Federation of Rural Women (FADEMUR), which is the entity responsible for developing its agenda in the municipality.
In the course involved 22 women, nine of them to continue to acquire training through FADEMUR after participating in the course taught by this organization a few volumes in Mazarrón on home help and another 13 that are now added to this new training initiative.
The welcome to participants has been borne by the Councillor for Rural Development, Magdalena Mendez, and the mayor of Social Policy, Maria Martinez.
Mendez stated that "it is a very comprehensive course, we must thank FADEMUR that Mazarrón has again chosen to provide these materials that can help these women to find employment or create their own cooperative".
This fact is expressed also Maria Martinez who has encouraged participants to "get the most out of this opportunity, as it offers a possibility of high quality training."
The course consists of 600 hours.
Of the total, in the first 480 hours will be taught the theoretical modules that deal with different aspects such as the characteristics and needs of hygiene and health care, food management and treatment at home, improving physical abilities and first aid, maintenance and psychosocial rehabilitation at home, support for daily errands, interaction and communication with the dependent person and their environment, resources and services for people in situations of dependency, management, provisioning and cooking in the household and maintenance, cleaning and organization address.
To the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, "the course also has a special importance because the remaining 120 hours will be practical component, which will be conducted through the modality of nonprofessional labor practices. Thus, women who participate it will have a professional touch with this area and can come in a direct way and discovering the world of work in which direction you are moving this niche job in the coming years. "
