On Saturday October 12, Columbus Day was celebrated in the church of San Jose de Puerto de Mazarrón the traditional Mass in honor of the Virgen del Pilar, patroness of the Guardia Civil.
The Mass was celebrated by the priest of that parish, Justo José Sánchez, and was attended by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, as well as various members of the Municipal Corporation.
By the Civil Guard, Lieutenant Commander attended Post Mazarrón, Antonio Alcaide, the 3 Sergeants Francisco area Heads of Jose Diaz, Alfredo Andres Burbano and Vizcaino, the Judicial Police Sgt Mazarrón, Javier Pastor who on Thursday 10 received the Silver Cross of Civil Merit by the municipality of Mazarrón, as well as other agents that make up the staff of the Post Meritorious Mazarrón.
Notably, after the mass, Antonio Alcaide delivered to the pastor of St. Joseph, Justo José Sánchez, the Commemorative Medal for the Centennial of the Virgen del Pilar as patron of the Civil Guard.
This recognition can only receive the Meritorious agents or their children, as in the case of this priest who thanked this recognition to the figure of his father.
