San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM) and the City of Mazarrón, through Fotogenio, presented the Professional Masters in Photography Technique and Expression UCAM-Fotogenio.
The Master begin teaching in late November.
This is a graduate (own title) that aims to provide technical and expressive tools for those interested in developing their creative and professional activity in the field of photography.
The presentation ceremony was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Paul Blesa, academic leaders of the Master, teachers of Advertising and Public Relations, Felix Galindo and Blas Subiela and Fotogenio director, John S .
Calventus, and the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo.
It should be noted that it is not necessary to have a university degree to take the master.
However, professionals wishing to enter the master's degree will have to demonstrate a minimum experience in the sector.
According to the dean of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Paul Blesa, "this Master UCAM means for adding a significant section in photography to the Faculty of Communication".
It also has detailed "photographic studies at universities scarce, so fills an academic gap in our country, to which is added that our master is economically more affordable than the rest".
Blesa stressed that "this training program also is linked to an important event in photography as Fotogenio and is held every year in Mazarrón".
The Master has the photographic world personalities like Jose Maria Mellado Gervasio Sánchez and Pedro Maduro, Rebeca Saray, Jose Antonio Fernandez and Hugo Rodriguez, among others.
The curriculum is organized into two academic years, each consisting of ten taught modules.
Each module will take a weekend and distributed alternately between the campus of St. Jerome and the municipality of Mazarrón, Fotogenio headquarters.
