Around a hundred people gathered yesterday in the urbanization of Camposol to run 'For Life', as was the motto of the race organized by the association 'MABS'.
This organization, composed mainly of foreign residents, helps people who are affected by the disease of cancer and their families.
The race held yesterday was just an initiative to raise funds for the association.
At the meeting was attended by the Councillor for Sports City of Mazarrón, Andrew James, who along with representatives of 'MABS' presented the trophies to those who crossed the finish line first, and medals and t-shirts were all participants who contributed 5 euros for registration.
In addition, there were many who, though not in the test run with the collaboration of the consistory, also made a donation to the cause.
From 'MABS', thanked the mayor of Sports the cooperation of the City of Mazarrón, especially the Local Police Force and Mazarrón Red Cross, who were awaiting the appointment were to develop normally and without incident.
For his part, the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, thanked the work of 'MABS' with cancer patients because "is another example of a solidarity that samples foreign residents who are flushed continuously with the needy".
