The Youth Council of the City of Mazarrón has launched the First Contest of Artistic Creation 'Almazjoven' 2013, through which young people between 14 and 35 years can show their artistic skills with the short film, photography, short story , comics, music and poetry.

This was made yesterday to meet the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, Youth Councillor, Andrew James, and field technician, Francisco Saez.

The competition on the municipal website can www.mazarron.es, but it is advisable to go before the 'Informajoven' to formalize the registration before submitting the work.

Andrew James explained that "young people have until December 5 to submit their work including the 'Informajoven' of the Department of Youth located in the sports hall 'the Flour mill.'"

The mayor explained that "the event features prizes in the form of 'gift vouchers' for equipment worth 300, 200 and 100 euros for the top three finishers in each of the categories. Likewise, there will be certificates of recognition for all participants ".

For his part, Francisco Saez artistic commented on this call that "work must be related in some way to the town of Mazarrón, its theme being free but subject to this aspect."

For the head of the 'Informajoven', "so we created a space for artistic creation for young Mazarron so that their proposals result in the quality of the cultural life of our town."

The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, noted that "the Department of Youth opens a new window to the participation of young people, who will find this event a new opportunity to invest their free time and leisure to develop their skills while artistic ".

The mayor encouraged young people to "present their work and their suggestions and proposals to expand this event in future editions."

Interested parties may submit their work in the 'Informajoven' from Monday to Friday from 9-14 hours.

In addition, the Department of Youth have active profiles on social networks 'facebook' and 'Tuenti' by which the council kept informed youth of the town of ongoing activities being programmed from said council.
