The Department of Rural Development of the City of Mazarrón has undertaken the improvement of new rural roads in various districts of the municipality.
The councilor responsible for the area, Magdalena Mendez explained that "these actions have been carried out mostly by the City, but have also ensured that the Autonomous Region ignore our demands and have managed two paths, hoping that this is not support and a point to be repeated in the coming months. "
Specifically, the City has condition 5 roads has a total investment of 129,957.43 euros.
Two of the actions that have been undertaken have been conditioning the 'Boro Road' and a section of the 'Milky Way' in the hamlet of Iguana in the amount of 25,004.10 euros and the paving of a section of 'Way of the Muleros' and the road that connects it to the corner in Cañadas del Romero for 32,084.83 euros.
The other 3 performances have been held in the village of Cañada de Gallego-IFRE.
Specifically we proceeded to the renewal of the paving of a section of 'Glen Road Raja' worth 29,054.40 euros, conditioning the 'Camino de La Loma del Mar at Pedregal' amounting to 20872.50 euros and the paving of the square Vivancos Elena Lorente, where the medical center and social lounge, and access worth 22,941.60 euros are located.
In regard to the work undertaken by the region at the request of the session, the General Directorate of Irrigation and Rural Development has acted on a 750 meter stretch of road leading to Los Corners Iguana 1,250 meters and known as 'Camino de Gandía' linking Mazarrón with The Corners.
Improvements have involved an investment of 214,395.13 euros, of which 75% come from the European FEDER funds and other regional coffers.
The work has involved improving the horizontal and vertical signaling, longitudinal and transverse drainage ditches concrete coating, adequacy of existing speed bumps, firm improvement, correction of camber and application of a surface layer of agglomerated hot and treatment asphalt road as required.
The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, stressed that "the achievement of progress in our parishes remains one of our priorities and for this, not only will continue to invest in our measure of economic opportunities, but also ask those relevant agencies improvements that we know are necessary, as is everyone's job to improve the quality of life for many people living in rural areas.
