The Regional Confederation of Organizations of Cartagena (COEC) led by its President Pedro Pablo Hernández, this morning held a working meeting with the town of Mazarrón, chaired by the Mayor, Ginés Campillo.
In the same cross used different topics, such as infrastructure, tourism as an economic engine, the General Urban Plan, the status of entrepreneurs in Mazarrón, and other regional and national issues.
The President of the regional employer has requested the Mayor active participation in the generation of content and ideas for the project "Strategic Plan 2015-2020" COEC that will develop, in collaboration with all the municipalities in the District of Cartagena and other institutions, to be presented at a conference held in the first quarter of 2015.
The Mayor of Mazarrón has commented optimistic forecasts for economic growth in the municipality during the year 2014, after a decline of more than 300 people on the unemployment rolls at the end of 2013, very focused on tourism, agriculture and services sector.
He also expressed the importance that tourism has the training, demanding the creation of a School of Hospitality in the city to adequately prepare these professionals.
Also indicated the need for greater promotion of tourism as an engine of job creation.
Finally, Pedro Pablo Hernández has offered a greater participation of the Regional Confederation in defense of big business issues in the municipality.
Both institutions have agreed to facilitate a meeting in the short term, with the various business associations in Mazarrón in order to establish new initiatives for joint collaboration.
