Mazarrón has lived intensely for three days its Carnival celebrations and has done so with a very high participation by both the number of troupes paraded as the viewers who have wrapped the two parades this year.
General spectacular parade involving 32 extras, 14 locations and 18 outside the municipality took place yesterday afternoon.
These came from the towns of Mula, Sangonera Green, Sewer, Llano de Brujas, Librilla, Alhama de Murcia and Cotillas Towers.
At the end of the parade, in which over 800 people participated, the tent city of Convent Square hosted the awards this year by the council of Celebration, Isidro Coy.
The first prize in local parades of Carnival 2014, worth 1,200 euros, went to the rock 'La Canada', while the second prize of 900 euros, was placed in the hands of the rock 'Pipe Mill' .
The third prize of 600 euros, the troupe was to 'Beaches Percheles' and the fourth 400 euros and is awarded for the first time, it was for the troupe 'Salsalá'.
In regards to the awards of the visiting clubs, the troupe 'Samana' Mula retained the top prize of 300 euros achieved last year.
This time, the second prize of 200 euros was for the troupe 'Rosazul' Sangonera Green.
Regarding awards Children's Parade, which first broke the General Parade to be held on Saturday, the first was worth 650 euros for AMPA CEIP 'Ginés García'.

The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, has described as "very successful" the Carnival this year.
In this sense, the mayor has highlighted two aspects.
On the one hand "the high participation of people in both the gala and parades, costumed or not, have given meaning to the work that we have developed from the City" and secondly, "the qualitative leap that carnivals are experiencing year since we put in front of the hall ".
A success for Ginés Campillo alleges that "we have opened the doors of City Hall and the people have heard to design a carnival to fit all."
