Mazarrón Town Council will participate in the First International Congress of Colleges and Schools of Social Work, to be held at the University of Murcia from 23 to 25 April, with the consistory of Eagles, Los Alcazares, Beniel and Molina de Segura.
This collaboration was formalized yesterday with the signing of an agreement signed in Convalescence between the Rector of the University of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho, and the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, and the rulers of the other municipalities mentioned.
The conference, which is organized by the Faculty of Social Work, will bring together leading experts in Murcia in the art, including, sociologist Saskia Sassen, Prince of Asturias Award for Social Sciences 2013.
On the occasion of the meeting has been called the thesis competition on Social Work, worth 2,000 euros financed by the Research Institute Polibienestar University of Valencia and the Seneca Foundation.
Same may be submitted to any thesis cum laude from the area of ​​social work read at a Spanish university between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2013.
Congress has more than 25 partner organizations, which include the Repsol Foundation, Obra Social "la Caixa" and the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT), besides the aforementioned councils and the Autonomous Community of Murcia .
The presentation before the media event was held at the Rector of the University of Murcia, in a ceremony during which the Rector of the University of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho, Dean of Social Work, Enrique Pastor and President of the Conference Spanish Deans of Social Work and professor at the University of Alicante, Yolanda Domenech.
