On Thursday, March 6, the Center hosted the Day Mazarron II Intercultural Day which celebrated the Day Centre for People with Intellectual Disabilities.
The objective of this conference was to promote the practice of positive attitudes of users in a multicultural environment and share cultural differences.
This is carried out a series of activities such as an exhibition of objects and costumes from different countries like Spain, Morocco, Ecuador, France and England.
Questions on a quiz about different cultures and a world map and various 'diversity Games' mural was also held.
The cuisine also starred with tea and tasting different dishes from different countries like Spain, Morocco and Ecuador, whose preparation was carried out by the users of the center such as omelette, empanda, candy and nuts and chocolate chicken rice, among others.
Moreover, the performances took place in the Bugle and Drum Band 'Association Mazarrón' typical dances from Spain, Ecuador and Morocco, and the performances of Peter and Antonio, Center users sang a song 'Chicane'.
They completed the day henna workshop, workshop sign language and the presentation of medals to the winners in adapted sports Petanque as were Joan G, Immaculate G., Jaime L., Fabian and Juan Enrique O. T, Peter S, Ana Belén C, Andrew B, G Antonio, Josefa B.
More than 50 people attended the Intercultural Day II, including relatives of the users of the Day Centre for People with Intellectual Disabilities, students and teachers from CEIP Francisco Open Classroom Caparros and other citizens who came to discover this multicultural day.
