The Day Centre for People with Intellectual Disability and Care Unit Patients with Alzheimer Thursday conducted a talk on "incapacitation and guardianship."
The talk was given by Carmen Méndez García, a practicing lawyer with over 10 years experience and currently works as a lawyer at the Specialty Care Center for Women Victims of Domestic Violence (CAVI) Hall of Mazarrón.
More than 60 people attended the briefing, including relatives of the users of the Day Centre for People with Intellectual Disabilities, Family Ratings Unit's disease and other dementias, and social services professionals, CAVI, and Center Day Mazarron.
Counsel focused on how to carry out the processes of incapacitation of a person exercising custodial fees (protection, defense and judicial cuartela) as well as property management of persons having a diagnosis of mental illness, intellectual disability and other dementias.
Following his speech, attendees were able to answer questions about the topic of the day, and also on other legal matters.
