On Friday March 27 the launching of the first 'Club Leos' independent of Spain is born precisely in Mazarrón and born sponsored 'Lions Club of Mazarrón Bahía'.
The restaurant 'Mariano' Camposol was the venue for the presentation of this association of youth under 18 in the likeness of 'Lions'.
A presentation that was attended by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, Councillor for Youth, Andrew James, the mayor Pedáneo Saladilla José Andrés Navarro, and the representative of the Club 'Torrevieja Costa Lions' Anka Peltonen.
This conveyed that "I come on behalf of the District Governor, Alfonso Piñol, who was unable to attend to explain that we are very proud that they have launched the first club 'Leos' of Spain here in Mazarrón."

The latter collected from the hands of Virginia Barker donated 300 euros "taken to our project called 'Brunch Solidario' for those children and young people who go without breakfast at school or who do not carry lunch, so that everyone can enjoy healthy breakfast. "
