During the first quarter of 2014, about 250 students from different schools participated in Mazarrón educational activities in Mazarrón under the project LIFE09 NAT/ES/000516 'Conservation Project in the Region headed Duck of Murcia.

Students received a briefing at its center and then made a field trip where they visited the facilities of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) of Mazarrón and guided tour in the wetlands of the mulberry trees.
School could well observe the operation of the WWTP and meet water reuse in other economic and conservation activities carried out in the town.
The guided tour of Wetlands of mulberry discovered the key values ​​and threats experienced by the area and the birds that inhabit this wetland, listed as 'Ramsar' (Wetland of International Importance), and could be observed with the telescope the different birds which are located in the gaps.
During the tour they met the project 'LIFE Malvasia Murcia' and the main actions carried out in the town of Mazarrón.
During this school year, so far, have participated in the CEIP 'Infanta Leonor' IES 'Domingo Valdivieso' and IES 'Philip II' educational program.
