On Friday May 2nd Cultural Week organized on the occasion of 'World Book Day' was closed.
This closing was held in the auditorium of the Cultural Centre and during paid tribute to Francisca Navarro Muñoz, who was librarian of the public library 'Gómez Jordana' de Mazarrón almost since its inception.
Councilman Andrew James gave a bouquet of flowers to the family in recognition of the work of Francisca Navarro during the years he held this post and the last play in which the library was screened participated.
It also awards the I Photography Competition 'We like to read' was also made.
The first prize in this contest, awarded a diploma and 300 euros in gift vouchers to redeem for items in various local Mazarrón, Jesus went to Myron Rubén García.
The second prize of 200 euros in gift vouchers more diploma, went to Sebastian Szpylman Sylwester hands while the third prize of 100 euros and diploma, Rendon went to Santiago Hoyos.
That evening, there was also a recognition for adult readers who have read more books in libraries and Puerto Mazarron during this past year.

Two days earlier, on Wednesday, April 30, at the best children's readers were also honored.
Mario Sánchez Acosta was awarded to read more books in the library of Mazarrón and Paula Herrera Heitzmann the most read in the Port.
Wednesday afternoon was also a big party around the literature as it conducted several performances by students from various schools in Mazarrón.

The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, recalled that "although it has held this closing libraries Mazarrón and Puerto continue offering activities until 7 June."
These include workshops 'Art of healthy aging through the stories', especially aimed at older people and 'Encanthadas' for a teenage audience.
