Mazarrón Town Council through the Department of Social Policy, in collaboration with the Department of Public Safety and local police are developing a grant from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia (CARM), for the prevention and intervention of truancy and framed within the Regional Truancy Plan (RESP).
The grant includes the completion of assigned activities within the RESP and the object of financing are developing awareness campaigns and information through training workshops for children and parents whose children have truancy problems.
These activities will be aimed at children under 2 ° ESO of the Secondary Schools 'Domingo Valdivieso' de Mazarrón and 'Antonio Hellin' of Puerto de Mazarrón.
Also, also includes the promotion of the figure of 'Police Tutor' through the development of leaflets and brochures and participation in information and awareness sessions.
The target set by the program is to combat truancy and absenteeism decreased as a fundamental tool for the development of their people and our town, promoting education and culture as key factors of development.
