Mazarrón will become 4 to 7 September in the national capital with the celebration of cycling Championships Road Cycling Spain organized by the Royal Spanish Cycling Federation (RFEC), the Cycling Federation of the Region of Murcia (FCRM) and the town of Mazarrón.

This important event was presented this morning by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, FCRM president, José L. Tortosa, and the Councillor for Sports of Mazarron council, Andrew James.

Andrew James explained that "we continue with the enhancement of the sport of cycling. A bet already started last March with performing various tests and will reach its peak with these championships of Spain Junior, Senior and Master who has covered and 2,500 hotel rooms in Mazarron, Totana and Alhama de Murcia ".

The mayor added that "once again, bring a large number of people to Mazarron for the name of our town sounds at regional and national level."

For his part, José L. Tortosa has realized different championship competitions "that will point out all the Avenida de la Constitución de Mazarrón."

After the welcome and check licenses on Thursday 4 September, "will proceed to conclude on Friday morning 5 junior time trials, both male and female, with a distance of 11.8 km and 16 km respectively."

That morning Reviewer test category will be held at a distance of 115.9 kilometers.

"On Friday afternoon will be devoted to the category of Master 30 with proof of equal distance than the seniors. On Saturday September 6th touch the turn of the Masters 40 categories, with a distance of 99.8 miles, MA 50-60, with proof of 69.5 miles, and in the afternoon the Junior Women's category with a distance of 80 kilometers. "

Finally, "on Sunday, September 7 will be devoted to the showpiece 'of the Junior Men with a distance of 129.7 kilometers," said the president of the FCRM.

The Mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, highlighted the "major effort, not just the City of Mazarrón, Murcia but also the cycling federation last year as the Region and hosted these championships."

The mayor thanked this effort to Joseph L. Tortosa and added that "the appointment will be a new attraction for the town revolving and will be a new and strong commitment to turn Mazarrón a prime destination for sports."
