The Governing Council has authorized the grant of aid of EUR 1.7 million to the organization of agricultural producers Perichán entirely under the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF).
This support accounts for the 50 percent of the amount spent by the company, from its 2013 operational program payment.
The actions supported the partners of the organization of fruit and vegetables are the purchase of machinery and tools, irrigation infrastructure for farms, plastic greenhouses, pheromones and predators, traps, removal of tomato and cucumber for distribution free, grafted tomato plants, personnel costs, marketing, among others.
Agricultural Perichán, founded in 1982 and located in Glen Gallego (Mazarrón), is a set of five major companies specializing in the production, processing and distribution of fresh produce such as tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, iceberg lettuce, grapes, pear, pepper and zucchini.
