The general direction of Social Policy CARM, in collaboration with the Department of Social Policy of the City of Mazarrón, will develop on Monday 16 June, the 'Workshop on Prevention of Domestic Violence with Associations'.

An activity that is part of the project 'Networking with the Associations' and will be held at 17:30 in the Auditorium of the Day Centre for the Elderly in Mazarrón

It will involve the councilor of the area, Maria Martinez, representatives of the General Directorate of Social Policy, technicians Specialty Care Center for Women Victims of Domestic Violence (CAVI), the Association of Housewives, Consumers and Users' Almazarrón ';

Association of Housewives, Consumers and Users 'El Faro' Puerto de Mazarrón and the Associated Country Women of Gańuelas, ADEMUR RANGE.

This project aims, first, to sensitize the population participating in associations, in order to know further what constitutes gender violence and the resources available to help overcome the abuse.

Furthermore, aware of the important role played by these entities more closely with the voluntary sector and a reciprocal and continuous exchange pursued.

Partnerships are supporting elements of the first order and is therefore essential to promote the knowledge and exchange in both directions.

For this reason, the staff of the Directorate General for Social Policy and professional resources of specialized care for women victims of domestic violence also need to know what the associations of their environment: that associations exist, what their target is, that provide services and what is the path to them, because they may be an important factor in the process of full recovery of women victims of violence who care resource.

In short, it is to foster closer partnerships for the countless benefits it can bring to all involved and looking at all times, carry out three main aims: to raise awareness, improve detection and provide the best and most comprehensive care for women suffering domestic violence.

All this is to make a clear commitment to continuity, so that the cooperation with this project starts can last over time and get with the cooperation of all entities involved, networking.
