Francisco Garcia, new mayor of Mazarrón, remains pending a meeting with the president of the regional executive, Alberto Garre, to transfer the "difficult situation in which the municipality is located."
Garcia, the Socialist Party, took up his post on 11 June after alternating confirmed as mayor which was reached by agreement of the government with independent UIDM.
After his inauguration, Francisco Garcia, said the first thing he would do after taking up office would request an interview with Garre.
The next morning, the said meeting was requested by the proceedings raised by the Regional Government.
A week later, Garcia still does not receive a response.
According to the new socialist mayor, the town is receiving an intolerable discrimination centered primary way in public investments.
According to Garcia, Mazarrón needed "urgently fair and equitable treatment in the allocation of public funds in the region."
