Those who are on our beaches at six different points find a badge that speaks to the environmental quality of the place you are.
Mazarron has this summer with six blue banners, one more than last year.
The beaches have received this recognition are those of Rihuete, Harbor, Bay-La Reya, Nares, Castellar and Alamillo.
The Minister of Tourism, Juan Carlos Ruiz, Monday attended the formal ceremony of hoisting the flags in Playa del Castellar, an elected place noted for having three different certifications: blue flag, the Q for Quality and flag Ecoplaya.
Juan Carlos Ruiz praised the quality of the beaches of Mazarrón calling it "magnificent" and said that some parts of the coast in our town are present in the national tourism promotion campaign that their counseling is conducted.
The event also was attended by the Mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Garcia, who thanked "the combined work of all the departments throughout the year that are working to make this recognition a reality."
Councilman Coastal Services, Miguel Garcia, wanted to highlight the name "Ecoplaya" has received this year Castellar beach, a certificate is awarded for using ecological values, in this case, by the use of salt water in the showers and footbaths.
Also, on the coast of Mazarrón six others waving banners with Q for Quality Tourism.
These are Rihuete Bay, Castellar, Bolnuevo, La Reya and Nares.
