Mazarron hamlet of Cañada de Gallego will remain during the September benchmark organic farming.
Following the success of the course on agroecology held in late August, the Association of Southeast Naturalists teach two more again.
The first takes place this week, on 2 and 4 September, 18 to 22 hours, in the Social Center Cañada de Gallego.
Titled "The implementation of hedges: the benefits of plants", it is an educational activity that will illustrate how and why to conserve and restore the surrounding native vegetation to agricultural areas, in order to get some benefits as improving the microclimate, soil or housing auxiliary fauna.
The second course will be held on 15 and 17 September and will focus on "Sustainable Practices in Agriculture."
This course aims to deepen the methods to conserve soil, water and biodiversity associated with agricultural areas, as well as alternatives to chemical pesticides source techniques.
These all free training activities are part of the project Farmers by Nature framed in Empleaverde Biodiversity Foundation Program, funded by the European Social Fund.
This course has the support of the City of Mazarrón.
All activities in this project are free actions co-financed by the ESF, and are aimed primarily at workers in small and medium-sized enterprises active as well as autonomous agricultural sector.
In addition, as part of this project also free, personalized counseling will be held on agroecology, in order to make more sustainable practices, and promote biodiversity through installing hedgerows of native plants, which are includes the transfer of plant material to farmers.
