Mazarron farmers are showing interest in tropical plantations out of the current situation faced with traditional crops, which can take them just performance.
Recently, the Councillor for Agriculture Hall of Mazarrón, Magdalena Méndez, visited one of these plantations in Almería next to the municipal manager Jose Thomas Gallego.
Both have participated in a workshop dedicated to handling techniques for growing papaya fruit that is well rooted in Almeria and Murcia ground.
Along with several farmers visited greenhouses papaya, met the design and establishment of the plant, sexing and thinning of flowers and fruits.
Magdalena Méndez strongly supports this initiative and has advertised as on other occasions that will bid to interested farmers the necessary technical advice managing it through the Counseling and Cajamar, partner with this pilot foundation.
