A total of 1411 students this year have started their classes in the four schools providing compulsory secondary education in the town.

Leads in the number of registered IES Domingo Valdivieso de Mazarrón with 506, followed by Hellin of IES Antonio with 420 Puerto de Mazarrón IES Felipe II de Mazarrón and has 380 students enrolled in the XXI Century High School 105 students.
