About 200 students from eight subjects in the degree of Architecture at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) performed at specific sites of Mazarrón their academic projects during this course, through visits, events and conferences thanks to ArquitecturaON project, which was presented Wednesday in the School of Architecture and Building Engineering.
It has previously been signed at the headquarters of the Rectory UPCT the signing of this agreement between the governing UPCT Jose Antonio Franco, and the Mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco García.
ArquitecturaON is a teaching innovation project aimed at students in third, fourth and fifth grade of Architecture.
It is coordinated by 14 teachers throughout the course 2014-2015 will work with their students in a new way of thinking and understanding architecture shaping their theoretical and practical insight into different areas of our town that have been selected by teachers in collaboration with the town of Mazarrón "We We stress in society-college connection" says Mark Ros, project coordinator who also makes clear that this initiative "intend not replace any official project, although bring our thoughts and suggestions."
To the Rector of the Polytechnic University José Antonio Franco, this is a project that will eventually become a regional and national benchmark.
"I am absolutely sure of success and we hope that other courses are other municipalities in the region of Murcia concerned."
For his part, Mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco García, expressed his delight at being Mazarrón municipality that opens this innovative project.
